TASTING NOTE by Champagne Club by Richard Juhlin ‘ In the enormous park of Versailles in the middle of Prohibition, Pål and I hid behind statues and cypresses to sneak in these lovely drops from a magnum we received the day before from Richard Geoffroy. It tasted exactly as you can imagine. Incredibly rich and at the same time sophisticated fruit combined with roasted and gunpowder-smelling vintage tones. A strict skeleton of acidity and stringency and a caressing sensation on the tongue. Heavenlyly balanced then under the Oenothèque label. Exactly the same impression on Björn Leissner’s Sölleröd tasting 2025.’
