For those who seek the profound depth of heritage and complexity, Henriot’s Cuvée Des Enchanteleurs stands as a magnificent testament to time and terroir. This prestige cuvée, crafted only in the finest vintages, is a blend dominated by Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from six historic Grand Cru vineyards, including the coveted Avize and Mailly. The wine’s signature lies in its extraordinary longevity on the lees—often spending 12 to 15 years in the Henriot cellars—which imbues it with a mesmerizing tapestry of tertiary complexity: notes of toasted brioche, honeyed almonds, preserved lemon, and a subtle yet enduring chalky salinity. It is a wine that demands respect, offering a powerful yet utterly seamless texture that evolves majestically in the glass, confirming its status as one of Champagne’s most regal and enduring statements.

TASTING NOTE ‘I got a slight shock when I was going trough my tasting database to update the tasting date for this delicious wine. It turned out that I had only tasted the champagne in the vinothèque version. I took this normally disgorged 44-year-old bottle to wine legend Mats Hanzon, and we enjoyed it. Still in absolutely perfect condition. That the acidity and the elegance typical of the house would remain was hardly a surprise, but that the midrange was so rich and embracing I had not expected. A textbook Henriot, plain and simple. Despite this lovely experience, it was beaten by two points by an unlikely 1969 Florens-Louis on this magical evening.’

« Henriot ‘Cuvée des Enchanteurs‘ is a most sought-after Champagne among connoisseurs. This magnificent wine is so rare that only a few people have had the chance to taste the quintessence of mature Henriot in its prime! »
