Champagne Bollinger is delighted to present a new edition of Bollinger PN: the PN TX20 – a 100% Pinot Noir champagne, predominantly from the Tauxières terroir and the 2020 base year. This is complemented by various reserve wines from other years and crus, creating an exceptional harmony.

This new PN TX20 edition allows the cuvée to reinvent itself through the unique organoleptic profile of this emblematic grape variety.

An assembly with a unique flavour, showcasing the specific qualities of the Tauxières terroir

Each new edition of the Bollinger PN cuvée brings with it a singular and contemporary vision of the Maison’s terroir and expertise, acting as a symbol of the union between tradition and innovation. Today, Bollinger welcomes a new edition into their range: PN TX20. The base year is a 2020. The principal cru is Verzenay and and reserve wines including 2008 and 2012 make up more than 25% of the blend. The result of a Blanc de Noirs made from 100% Pinot Noir, designed to make terroir the star of the show.

Its dosage is moderate: 8 grams per liter. Its cellar aged for twice as long as stipulated by the Appellation.

Tauxières: A Cru of Elegance and Precision

Situated on the southwest slopes of the Montagne de Reims, the Tauxières cru benefits from a unique exposure and soil, blending chalk and clay, creating ideal conditions for the Pinot Noir to thrive. This prestigious vineyard is renowned for the freshness, elegance, and aromatic complexity it imparts to the wines. It is from this exceptional terroir that the PN TX20 cuvée draws its structure, precision, and distinctive character.

TASTING NOTE Champagne Club by Richard Juhlin – ‘For this exciting and explosive edition of PN, Bollinger once again chose fine, but unknown Tauxières as the starting point and dominant together with a smaller part of Aÿ and Avenay. 2020 is the base vintage with 48% of the cuvée. 52% reserve wines from magnum and steel tank with 2008 and 2012 as the oldest components to 25% of the whole. And finally a moderate dosage of 8 grams. Beautiful light golden color and an explosive and intense, now characteristic aroma of the reserve wines on magnum. So a kind of Bollinger without barrels in just that part. The barrel notes are clearer in the mouth where the nuts appear together with a small whisper of the forest. Otherwise, I mostly find apricot jam and white peaches in the fruity part together with geranium and a very flinty mineral finish.’

‘Never miss the chance to buy a few bottles of each new edition of PN as they are always among the most affordable you can buy in all of Champagne and drink this beauty after 2030 for its full potential.’
