As the champagne bar is often frequented we change the house champagne every fortnight. These weeks focus a little more on this producer. For example, we serve the current  cuvéen préstigeper glass during these weeks. This represented the most famous and influential champagne houses and the most publicized growers.

Epernay | Champagne | France | swedish importer of Pernod-Ricard | SBnr 82,654 retail price SEK 393

TASTING NOTE ‘Much more Chardonnay aroma than grape composition shows. Always a fruity well-balanced standard of champagne in the lighter style. Citrus aromas are released for nuttiness with age. Very good lately.‘ RJpoints 78 (85)

RJ ABOUT Perrier Jouet in 1811 founded the house of Pierre-Nicolas-Marie Perrier-Jouet. During his son Charles management firm became very successful. 1959 Mumm majority stake in the firm and the house became part of the Canadian Seagramgruppen. For a while, the house was owned by Allied Domecq as worryingly rev up large parts of the house’s fine old vines in Cramant directly at the takeover. Michel Budin, who ran the company until the end of the eighties, was a great admirer of the Art Nouveau and opened a Belle Epoque Museum in 1990, twenty years after they launched the prestigious champagne of the same name. Today, owned by Pernod-Ricard. Jean-Marie Barillere is today’s presidential and Hervé Deschamps winemaker. Belle Epoque has become a huge success everywhere, especially Americans have fallen for the flower-filled bottle. The house owns 108 acres in seven villages, and the remaining 65% of the grapes are sourced from 40 different villages. The firm’s main village is Cramant, which owns 29 acres in the very best slopes. In contrast to many other large houses, one has the legacy well. The vines are very old and produces great grapes that can dominate an entire cuvée, although the percentage is small. The delicate husstilen is very dependent on these Chardonnay grapes. Vintage wine is a classic roasted and Belle Epoquevinerna is a great source of joy for the romantic wine lover. 1985 Belle Epoque Rosé voted the ultimate prime rosé at Millennieprovningen. The white 99-ball is somewhat weak in smell as yet, but very dense and cohesive focused. The fruit is sweet and impressive vintage style reminiscent not so little about 1989. The new Belle Epogue Blanc de Blancs is deliciously soft and affectionate with a colossal intensity of sweet keynotes simultaneously lifted by lemon and juiciness. Sensual and mesmerized. A magnum 1998 Belle Epoque was Ragnis and my engagement champagne.
