ÉPERNAY, SEPTEMBER 4th, 2025:

In the heart of Champagne, Moët & Chandon unveiled its first-ever Harvest Experience. This exclusive annual rendez-vous is set to become the toast of the Champagne calendar. Here, centuries-old savoir-faire meets the cutting-edge technology and innovation, offering an immersion into Moët & Chandon’s legacy. The Harvest Experience provides a rare glimpse into the Maison’s world-renowned wines and their journey from vine to glass. It serves as a letter to the communal expertise and engagements that have made

Moët & Chandon the ultimate symbol of French elegance and celebration worldwide.

As September’s late summer sunbathes the Moët & Chandon vineyards, the Harvest Experience offered a backstage pass to witness the magic. This is the moment when the vineyard’s soul is captured at its peak, setting the stage for the wine’s elaboration. Guests felt the pulse of the harvest, and the shared commitment it takes to make it successful. Precision and passion converge, and the collective emotion becomes palpable.

AN EXCLUSIVE INVITATION INSIDE THE MAISON

Behind every glass of Moët & Chandon lies a legacy more than 280 years in the making.

The Harvest Experience is a direct path to the Maison’s core, guided by the voices who know it best. From the harvest in the Clos of Fort Chabrol, to the Romont pressing center where the grapes first reveal their potential, through the Mont Aigu fermentation rooms where precision shapes character, and the Maison’s commitment for biodiversity at Fort Chabrol, in the very heart of Champagne where the sparkle of the wine meets the vineyard’s crisp air, culminating in the timeless journey through the iconic “Galeries Impériales” wine cellars, guardian of centuries of savoir-faire. The Harvest Experience traces the lifecycle of champagne and Moët & Chandon’s philosophy at every stage, while offering a firsthand encounter with the Maison’s savoir-faire.

Moët & Chandon nurtures the largest vineyard in Champagne, a remarkable 1,300 hectares that embody both diversity and excellence. Half of these vines are classified as “grand cru,” a quarter as “premier cru,” a testament to their unrivalled pedigree. At Moët & Chandon, the yield is entrusted solely to skilled hands, each grape carefully picked to preserve its integrity. From Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier to Chardonnay, these noble varieties form the potential of
Moët & Chandon’s wines.

At this pivotal season, when the harvest writes its story, every gesture is guided by precision, for it is in the smallest details that excellence is born.  Which is why Moët & Chandon welcomes nearly 2,000 pickers each year. To uphold the highest standards, Moët & Chandon carefully audits working and housing conditions, ensuring they reflect the Maison’s own tradition of hospitality.

This year, Champagne experienced a very rainy autumn and winter, followed by a dry and mild spring that destroyed around 25 hectares in Epernay. The dry, gentle conditions, punctuated by light rains, continued into summer, allowing the vines to flourish freely, with optimal flowering and little disease. Nature, on which Moët & Chandon so deeply depend, has been generous, allowing the vines to flourish under optimal conditions.

The 2025 harvest began with unusual precocity, as pickers entered the vineyards from August 23rd for three weeks. The grapes showed a remarkably healthy condition, with aromas developing in harmony. Thanks to the season’s abundant sunshine and vigorous vines, the fruit reached an optimal ripeness that promises both finesse and generosity, echoing the Maison’s enduring pursuit of excellence.

NATURE’S EMBRACE

Nature has a land, Champagne. A house, Moët & Chandon. Because the harvest is a testament to Moët & Chandon’s harmonious relationship with nature, the Harvest Experience will shine a light on the Maison’s commitment to nature and biodiversity in Champagne.

The Fort Chabrol is home to Natura Nostra, Moët & Chandon’s flagship initiative for biodiversity. The project aims to create ecological corridors connecting natural reservoirs, enabling the movement and life cycle of animal and plant species. By 2024, the House had already planted 35 kilometers of hedgerows and engaged its 2,400 partner winegrowers, who benefited from tailored support ranging from environmental assessments and plot planning to the selection of plant species and assistance with funding applications.

Beyond biodiversity, these plantations contribute to water preservation, soil protection, and the enhancement of the Champagne landscape.

Moët & Chandon is convinced that it is its duty to look beyond the walls of its Maison and work hand in hand with its partners to rethink the practices of tomorrow. Everyone who takes part becomes a guardian of this remarkable heritage, and Moët & Chandon believes in the strength of the collective and the richness of diversity. Our commitment to preserving nature extends far beyond the vineyard, it is woven into every link of our Maison’s value chain.

SAVOIR-FÊTE AT ITS FINEST

Champagne is more than a wine; it’s an experience. Moët & Chandon offered access to its most exclusive sites to indulge in the Maison’s savoir-fête and art of hosting. Guests delighted in refined meals in breathtaking settings designed to inspire shared moments, brought to life through Moët & Chandon’s Wine & Food pairing philosophy.

For an exquisite dinner held at the iconic Chateau de Saran, Executive Chef Jean-Michel Bardet will feature a menu as timeless as the Maison itself. Each cuvée – including Moët Brut Impérial, Grand Vintages and Collection Impériale – is a story waiting to be told, and every plate is a celebration of French art de vivre.
