The Bloom of the Season: Introducing the Top-100 Rosé Champagnes for 2025

Rosé Champagne is no longer merely a “lifestyle” accessory or a summer indulgence; it has become the ultimate test of a winemaker’s skill in balance, extraction, and elegance. Whether crafted through the delicate art of assemblage (blending red wine) or the rare and demanding saignée (maceration) method, the world’s greatest pink Champagnes possess a structural complexity that bridges the gap between white wine finesse and red wine depth.

This year, the Champagne Club by Richard Juhlin conducted a clinical, exhaustive analysis of the region’s finest expressions. To curate this definitive ranking, we tasted a staggering 1,121 unique Champagnes. From the historic libraries of the Grandes Marques to the most daring artisanal creations, every bottle was scrutinized for its aromatic purity, its potential for evolution, and its ability to captivate the senses.

A Year of Legendary Icons

The 2025 list is a celebration of the legendary “P” series from Dom Pérignon, which occupies five of the top twenty spots. The 1988 Dom Pérignon Rosé P3 (Score 98) remains a titan of the cellar, but it is shared at the very top by the 2015 Louis Roederer Cristal Rosé (Score 98), a wine of breathtaking precision that proves the modern era of Cristal is truly a golden age.

Other notable highlights in the Top-100 include:

• The Masters of the 90s: Both Deutz (William Deutz 1996) and Veuve Clicquot (Cave Privée 1990) showcase how beautifully high-acid, high-structure Rosé can age into savory, nutty masterpieces.
• The Rosé Pioneers: Billecart-Salmon continues to define the category with two entries for its Cuvée Elisabeth Salmon (1996 and 1988) in the top 20, both scoring a formidable 95/96.
• Modern Stars: Further down the list, we see exciting entries from Thierry Perrion (several cuvées at 95), Paul Bara, and Charles Heidsieck, illustrating that the “Rosé Revolution” is thriving across both historic houses and artisanal estates.
