On the road? To plan in advance where to eat & what to drink is of the essence if You a serious foodie & label drinker. Star Wine List started because they thought there were so many restaurant guides in the world, but not enough guides where wine lovers can find good wine bars and wine restaurants.

Star Wine List celebrated the best wine lists in the UK during a live event co-hosted by The Buyer. In the prestigious Grand Prix category, there was a draw – both Noble Rot and Les 110 de Taillevent won gold certificates.

Les 110 de Taillevent

1500+ bottle wine list, one of the largest in London, and awarded 3 stars by the World of Fine Wines and “Best of Award of Excellence” by Wine Spectator.

London’s Les 110 de Taillevent is a sister restaurant to Taillevent Paris, the iconic two-star Michelin restaurant. In modern day London, Les 110 de Taillevent offers French cuisine with paired wines by the glass and a wine list of over 1500 bottles, as well as informal wine tasting classes and events.

Noble Rot

Noble Rot Wine Bar & Restaurant is located in an atmospheric townhouse on Bloomsbury’s Lamb’s Conduit Street. Head chef Myles Donaldson and Consultant chef Stephen Harris from the Michelin-starred The Sportsman in Whitstable oversee a full à la carte menu of fine Franglaise style cooking in the restaurant, and a selection of small dishes in the bar. The wine list ranges from deliciously undervalued wines by the glass to hard-to-find gems from the worlds leading winemakers.

Noble Rot Wine Bar & Restaurant won the wine list award at the World Restaurant Awards 2019, Wine List Of The Year at 2018, 2017 & 2016 National Restaurant Awards and 2016 Harden’s London Restaurant Awards.

‘UK is such a great place to drink good wine, and that really showed when we got the wine lists. So diverse and varied, with a great mix of grapes and regions,’

says jury Marc Almert

‘I was very impressed by the overall high level in the lists. These are actually my highest scores of all the countries I’ve judged. A great sense of dedication all over the range – from fine dining to casual wine bars. It’s really hard not to drink well in the UK,’

says fellow jury member Pascaline Lepeltier
