Hello everyone ! My name is Katia Demissy, I am 34 and I am working as a copy writer and wine journalist in the Champagne region. For me, there is no place like Champagne and its wine is absolutely magic.

Which Champagne would You treat your parents or in-laws?

‘Definitely a Brut ChampagneAs Cyril Brun, cellar master at Champagne House Charles Heidsieck says it « Brut Champagne is a permanent challenge for all cellar masters. It reveals everything about the winemaker or the House: the identity, the soul, the style and the oenological choices ».

My choice : Brut Réserve by Champagne Charles Heidsieck

Which Champagne would You treat your lover?

‘I love to share with him unconventional and original Champagnes such as « Les Revenants » from Etienne Calzac. This Champagne is made from forgotten grape varieties: Pinot Blanc, Petit Meslier and Arbane or Cuvée Pinot Blanc by Champagne Philippe Fourrier.

Which Champagne would You treat your boss?

As me, he is a real Champagne lover. Together we are use to drinking Ruinart or Roederer when we are sharing a lunch. It is our ritual. We are never disappointed by these high-quality Champagne Houses.

Which Champagne would You treat yourself?

Definitely biodynamic Champagnes. I am a great fan of Champagne Fleury or Champagne Françoise Bedel. These wines are vibrant and have something special.’

Which Champagne would You treat a dream guest, and why?

My dream guest is open-minded and epicurean. I would like to introduce him to our vision of the product. We consume Champagne on a daily basis and spontaneously with simple dishes such as burger, sushis or throughout the meal. I would like to make him discover all the diversity of Champagne.

« Les Bauves » by Champagne Lombard

« NV Extra Brut – Grand Cru » by Champagne Collery

« Un voyage dans nos coteaux » by Champagne de Barfontarc

« Rubis Velours » by Champagne Pannier

[ what piece of music would you listen to drinking wine with Your dream guest ?]

For me, Champagne is fun and sexy. I like listening to catchy/upbeat music. Music that allows you to evacuate the daily stress and to connect with people :

Infinity – Jaymes Young

Bad Habits – Ed Sheeran

Save your tears – The Weekend

Where are you know – Lost Frequencies ft Calumn Scott
