VBubbles Lover, Champagne is always the answer, The sound of Champagne, Globetrotting for Champagne

Which Champagne would You treat your parents or in-laws?

’You know, when I think about my parents and in-laws I think comfy, quality and tradition as I believe these elements talk to each other, so I would go for Maison Laurent Perrier Grand Siècle n. 22 Magnum. We don’t know what vintage we have there but we can trust it as a family.’

Which Champagne would You treat your lover?

‘I am blessed with two loves in my life: So, to my husband I choose Krug, the king of the kings. Last year we celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary with Krug Clos du Mesnil 1998, in honor of our year! Blanc de Blancs (100% Chardonnay) a spicy, acid and longevous wine proposing freshness and long life to our relationship. To my 18-year-old-baby-boy I propose Bollinger  R.D. 2002, (Récemment Dégorgé), a vintage wine, the best harvest in my life as well as a very beautiful vintage in Champagne. This unites two worlds: an old complex wine with the youth of energetic bubbles, just like my child: an adult with his complexities and full of beans. ‘

Which Champagne would You treat your boss?

’I would choose a fancy Champagne, which is above suspicion, it has quality, refinement and power as its main features and it is full of structure. William Deutz Brut 2010 Blanc de Noir (100% Pinot Noir), from Maison Deutz, founded in 1838, which also suggests tradition. Besides, the 2010 vintage highlights the idea of overcoming and finding strength.’

Which Champagne would You treat yourself?

’My own choice is glamourous, sophisticated, classy, sensual and the must of Maison Charles Heidsieck, Brut Millésimé 2004, a big harvest with great ripeness and balance, worth a vintage wine. I wish I age the same way, not so balanced but sensually and appealing.’

Which Champagne would You treat a dream guest, and why?

’To the great and only Sir Winston Churchill I would serve the cuveé in his honor from Maison  Pol Roger, Sir Winston Churchill 1984. Strong personality, precise choices and strength, unconditional love for bubbles, specially from this Maison. I would love to toast with the holder of the quote: ´My tastes are simple. I am easily satisfied with the best.´ And so am I!’

What piece of music do you listen to when drinking Champagne?

‘Music and Champagne are a magic match! I love Billy Holiday, BB King, Nina Simone, James Brown and Ella Fitzgerald to pair up with traditional Champagne such as Dom Perignon, La Grande Dame (Veuve Clicquot). To get into bubble vibes, I would choose Sébastien Tellier to pair up with Expression Nature from Frederic Savart.  I fully share his life ideal ´Faire ce que tu aimed, cést ça liberté .´
